Spanish CORE teamrider David spend some time chasing waves on Fuerteventura. And this is what he experienced:
This has been one of the worst winters I remember here in Spain, being cold, but with not enough snow to go snowboarding - one of my biggest passions besides Kiteboarding. So I decided to go to Fuerteventura for a few weeks to enjoy its warm weather and good waves. Plus I had a place to crash and cheap flights that allowed me to go there a couple of times and then go back to work!
Winter is finally over but this year spring came withs lots of rain, so I do not discard returning to the Canary Islands again! I had never had such good conditions of waves and wind before in Fuerteventura at this time of year. Actually one of the spots, Majanicho, reminded me of the North Shore in Maui for the quality of its waves and side off-shore winds. I also had a great time with the SUP on the days of no wind. So if you're a big fan of waves, Fuerteventura is definitely a good spot for you!
Here you have a short video about it, I hope you enjoy!
Life is a journey. Kiteboarding has taken us to the best spots on the planet and allowed us to get to know the local kiters from all corners of the globe. At the same time we have been able to delve into the technology behind the products that we use on a daily basis and catch a glimpse behind the scenes of the kite industry. There are many interesting characters behind the products and it became clear to us, that CORE is not only made up of a team from the Fehmarn Island but instead is made up of people from the world’s beaches. Therefore we became a part of something much bigger.
The idea behind our web-experiment CoreNation is to allow us to share our experiences with you. We want to take you with us on our journeys and share our adventures, experiences and our daily work with you. Enjoy!
